NEZWDS Conducts District-Level Training Programme

A two-day Nature Camp Programme was successfully conducted on 25th and 26th March 2025 under the Environment Education Programme, implemented by the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC) and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.

The programme aimed to foster environmental awareness, appreciation of biodiversity, and a sense of responsibility toward nature among students and youth. Through a series of engaging outdoor activities, nature walks, interactive sessions, and hands-on demonstrations, participants gained practical insights into ecosystem conservation, climate change, and sustainable living.

The camp provided a unique platform for experiential learning, encouraging participants to connect with nature and understand the importance of preserving the environment for future generations. The initiative was well-received, with active participation and enthusiastic feedback from all attendees.

This effort is part of a broader mission to integrate environmental education into mainstream learning and empower young minds to become responsible stewards of the environment.

These sessions focused on enhancing critical thinking, effective communication, community mobilization strategies, and subject-specific content relevant to their roles in local development.

The training programme created a dynamic learning environment, encouraging open discussions and experience-sharing among participants. Experts and facilitators from NEZWDS led the sessions, ensuring that the content remained practical, need-based, and aligned with the current developmental challenges in the region.
